Perdana Leadership Foundation invites you to join our second Workshop on Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) Scheme for Libraries and Information Centres.
Below are the details of the LCSH Workshop:
- Date: 5th – 7th May 2025
- Time: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Venue: Perdana Leadership Foundation, Putrajaya
This workshop will provide useful training on the Library of Congress Subject Headings scheme that will improve the knowledge and skills of librarians and specialist cataloguers. This workshop will be conducted by an experienced librarian and professional trainer with more than 30 years’ experience, Puan Hamidah A Rahman, a former lecturer at UiTM.
Objectives and Scopes
- A practical workshop for library staff & cataloguers on RDA cataloguing rules and subject analysis
- Solid training in cataloguing & classification of information packages in libraries & resource centres that will improve the knowledge and skills of new & experienced librarians.
- A mix of theory and practical exercises on subject access to information resources, and how to assign Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH)
