On Saturday, 19 September 2026, 12 participants aged 9 to 14 spent their weekend learning about financial literacy through “Nimbus Presents Money Wise Tales: Adventures in Financial Literacy for Kids”. Organised by Citrine One Group, with Perdana Leadership Foundation (PLF) as the venue host, the programme was designed to introduce children to essential financial concepts through engaging, practical, and age-appropriate learning activities.
The programme began with the arrival of participant registration, and breakfast, followed by a welcome session by Ms Ivlynn Yap, Executive Chairman of Citrine One Group. Puan Zarina Abu Bakar, Chief Executive Officer of Perdana Leadership Foundation, then delivered the opening remarks. In her speech, Puan Zarina engaged the participants by asking, “Who believes that money is important?” The majority of the students eagerly raised their hands. She also introduced the students to PLF and encouraged them to visit the Foundation’s exhibitions following the programme.
The participants were also joined by Mr Redza Arbee, author of Money Wise Tales, who assisted in guiding the students throughout the programme. The financial literacy journey consisted of five interactive modules.
The first session, Module 1: Understanding Money, introduced participants to the basic concepts and functions of money. This was followed by Module 2: Budgeting & Saving, where participants learned about the importance of financial planning, distinguishing between needs and wants, and developing good saving habits from an early age.
After the morning break, the programme continued with Module 3: Entrepreneurship, which introduced participants to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. The session encouraged them to think creatively about ideas and opportunities, while developing an understanding of the value of earning and managing money responsibly.

Following the lunch break, participants embarked on a guided tour of Perdana Leadership Foundation and the Merdeka Exhibition 2026. The visit provided an opportunity for the students to learn more about the Foundation, its collections, and Malaysia’s journey towards independence, nation-building, and development.

The afternoon sessions continued with Module 4: Wise Spending Decisions, which encouraged participants to make thoughtful and responsible choices when spending money. The final learning session, Module 5: Inflation & Purchasing Power, introduced participants to the concept of inflation and how changes in prices can affect the value of money and their purchasing decisions.
The programme concluded with a feedback session, followed by a group photograph with all the participants, secretariat members, and parents. Through a combination of interactive learning, practical examples, and hands-on activities, Money Wise Tales provided participants with valuable exposure to financial concepts that can help them develop positive and responsible money habits from a young age.
