Perdana Leadership Foundation invites you to join our first cataloguing workshop of 2026; the Workshop on Library of Congress Classification (LCC) Scheme for Libraries and Information Centres.
Below are the details of the LCC Workshop:
- Date: 27th – 29th April 2026
- Time: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
- Venue: Perdana Leadership Foundation, Putrajaya
This workshop will provide useful training on the Library of Congress Classification scheme that will improve the knowledge and skills of librarians and specialist cataloguers. This workshop will be conducted by an experienced librarian and professional trainer with more than 30 years’ experience, Assoc. Prof. (R) Hamidah binti A Rahman, a former lecturer at UiTM.

About the Library of Congress Classification (LCC)
The Library of Congress Classification (LCC) is a widely used system for organising library materials, especially in academic and research libraries.
It arranges knowledge into broad subject classes identified by letters, which are further divided into more specific subclasses and numbers. Library of Congress Classifications helps libraries organise collections systematically and enables users to locate and access information efficiently.
