On 11th and 12th June, the Perdana Leadership Foundation conducted an Oral History interview with Academician Professor Emerita Tan Sri Dr Mazlan Othman, Malaysia’s first astrophysicist and Senior Fellow at the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. The interview was led by Puan Zarina Abu Bakar, CEO of the Perdana Leadership Foundation, and Dr Norilmi Amilia Ismail, a lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia and the founder and CEO of SpaceIn.
“I was in love with physics because I could see the big picture reflected back to me,” said Tan Sri Mazlan Othman during the Oral History session. Tan Sri touches on her enthusiasm for her background studies and breakthroughs in science and technology.
The discussion explored a wide range of topics including astrophysics, the Angkasawan Programme, Malaysian satellites, the National Planetarium, and many other subjects related to space science and exploration in Malaysia.
The publication will be published next year.
