Job Title: Executive, Content & Communications


Are you passionate about content creation, and enjoy writing and research? If so, you may be just the person we are looking for. 

The Communications unit of Perdana Leadership Foundation is looking for a new team member to join us as Content and Communications Executive. This new team member must have excellent writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and be social media savvy.


In a nutshell, your job functions are:

  • To research and produce copy suitable for our various content platforms. 
  • To assist in coordinating production schedules for video-based projects and producing scripts where necessary. 
  • To design content and visuals for internal and external use, which include blog posts, slide decks, and  website content. 
  • To produce marketing copy for our programmes and events, including press releases. 
  • To proofread and edit copy including marketing copy and publication manuscripts.


Job Responsibilities


Research & Writing
  • Conduct research and produce copy for content platforms such as our Visual Timelines, blogs, and online learning.
  • Coordinate production schedules for video-based projects such as Oral History programmes and similar projects. 
  • Prepare visuals materials such as charts, slide decks, and infographics for our various online platforms and internal as well as external presentations. 
  • Able to craft, edit and proofread content that includes marketing copy, publication manuscripts, video transcripts, and others. 
  • Provide research, editorial, and writing support for other content needs such as quizzes, publications, and biographies.

Social-Media
  • Generate visuals and written content for PLF’s various social media platforms, while maintaining PLF’s brand identity.
  • Assist in planning social media content to ensure a consistent posting schedule.
  • Collaborate with team members to create and disseminate content across social media channels.
  • Remain updated and actively explore the latest social media trends, platform development, and emerging technologies.
  • Bonus points for proficiency in utilising content creation tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and other applications.

Community engagement
  • Interact with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions, while maintaining the Foundation’s professional tone and image.
  • Cultivate meaningful interactions with our audience to nurture brand loyalty and trust.
  • Monitor and report on key social media metrics to evaluate content and campaign performance.
  • Utilise data-driven insights to propose enhancements.
  • Willing to assist with ad-hoc tasks from time to time. 


Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences:  English / English for Professional Communication / Marketing/ Advertising/ Communications/ Journalism /Creative Arts or any related field.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Possess excellent writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficient in research and fact-checking. Able to present research materials in an organised manner. 
  • Digitally adept and able to work with apps and software such as Canva, Photoshop, Lightroom, WordPress, Premiere Pro, or other applications.
  • Ideal candidates have at least 1-2 years work experience in content creation, editorial work, and/or social media engagement. Fresh graduates with excellent writing and research skills, good teamwork, and a high aptitude for learning are also encouraged to apply.


Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm 
Office location: Precinct 8, Putrajaya.
