PLF MERDEKA PHOTO CONTEST 2018
CONTEST & PRIZEGIVING
In 2018, the Perdana Leadership Foundation organised its second Merdeka Photo Contest themed “Saya Sayang Malaysia”, in conjunction with Malaysia’s Merdeka theme which was Sayangi Malaysiaku. The photo contest was held solely on Instagram from the 1st August until 16th September 2018. Throughout its month and a half long run, the contest received more than 740 entries from 322 entrants across the country.
In December 12th 2018, a prizegiving ceremony was held here at the Perdana Leadership Foundation to celebrate and award the winners of the Merdeka Photo Contest 2018. Backed by sponsorship from DRB-HICOM, the top prize of this year’s photo contest is RM1,000 in cash, RM50 book vouchers from MPH, and exclusive PLF merchandise.
All 740 entries are evaluated by our judges Mr Che Ahmad Azhar, a photography lecturer from MMU, and Mr Mat Zain Abdullah, a street photographer specializes in heritage building photography. Auxiliary evaluations were also provided by members of DRB-HICOM, as well as our fellow staff members.
