MERDEKA PHOTO CONTEST 2017

In conjunction with our country’s 60th Independence Day and Malaysia Day, the Perdana Leadership Foundation launched the Perdana Leadership Foundation Merdeka Photo Contest 2017. The contest period is 21st August until 13th September 2017, carrying the theme “Uniquely Malaysian.” The contest is open to all Malaysian Perdana Library members.
The PLF Merdeka Photo Contest is held online on our social media, Instagram and Facebook, where participants upload their photos with the hashtag #plfmerdeka2017. Participants only needed to follow a few simple steps to enter the contest, which was explained on both social media as well as our website.
The first stage of choosing the winner is to look at the number of votes. Top 10 photos with the highest votes will go through to the final stage where a panel of judges will determine to the top 3 winners to bring home cash prizes as well meeting the Foundation’s Honorary President, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.
To pick the Top 3 winners, we evaluated the photos based on three criteria; 1) photo composition, 2) photo creativity, and 3) caption creativity. The panel of judges gave scores based on these criteria, and calculates the average to determine who will receive the highest overall score.
The contest has ended officially on 14th September 2017, at 12.00am. In the end, we received more than 80 entries from participants from across the country. Below is the list of our Top 10 Winners:

The Top 3 winners will receive cash prize, an invitation to attend a Meet & Greet Session with the Foundation’s Honorary President, YABhg Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, as well as merchandise from Perdana Leadership Foundation. Other Top 10 winners will receive the same merchandise from Perdana Leadership Foundation consists of a book entitled “Pembinaan Putrajaya: Perspektif Pemaju”, our annual Perdana Magazine, a notebook, a pen, and a cardholder.
The Meet & Greet Session will be held here at Perdana Leadership Foundation on October 10th, 2017, with YABhg Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tan Sri Nik Mohamed Yaacob, Puan Zarina Abu Bakar, and the Top 3 Winners.
