Are you passionate about creating impactful content and discovering valuable insights through research? The Perdana Leadership Foundation is looking for a Content Editor to join our team. In this role, you will review and edit video materials, as well as conduct research on assigned topics to produce high quality and informative content.
Key Responsibilities
Content Review & Structure
- Review video materials for factual accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Improve content structure and flow for maximum engagement
- Suggest or find additional visuals to improve video quality
Editing & Proofreading
- Edit and proofread video materials to ensure correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Ensure that the tone, voice, and messaging are consistent and appropriate for the audience.
- Assist in optimising content for digital use, including light video editing.
Research
- Conduct in-depth research on assigned topics with reference materials to support content development.
Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with team members and provide editorial support where needed.
Other Content-Related Tasks
- Provide support to the Communications team when needed on content-related tasks
What We’re Looking For
A Candidate with:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay.
- Experience with or interest in video editing tools (Filmora, Descript, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and sound editorial judgement.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content.
- A collaborative mindset with the flexibility to support team members on various projects.

Who We Are
The Perdana Leadership Foundation is a non-profit organisation established in January 2003 to document, disseminate, research, and archive materials related to the past Prime Ministers of Malaysia, and nation-building. The Foundation intends to become the premier institution for the study of Malaysia’s Prime Ministers and the central resource centre for research into national stewardship as well as a platform for reflection, debate, and discussion with distinguished figures in Malaysian leadership. Our Honorary President is the fourth and seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia, YABhg Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad. To date, we have digitised more than 500k materials, half of which are available for free through our website www.perdana.org.my. Membership of our Perdana Library is only RM10 per year, and members also get to enjoy the library’s physical facilities located in a cosy enclave in Precinct 8, Putrajaya.
